Three times Real Madrid played against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League finals and this is the second time the Spanish champs beats the British legends. The first was in 1981-1982 when Liverpool won by 1-0.
And this was Liverpool’s only win against Real Madrid in this competition where they met eight times in competitive fixtures in the past. Both sides met three times in the finals, Real winning twice with a 3-1 victory in 2017/18 and last night’s 1-0 at Parc Des Prices, in Paris.
