PAS, a member of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, has firmly denied facing any problems with fellow component party Bersatu. This denial comes after several blurry images surfaced in Sungai Bakap recently.
PAS and Bersatu Clash Over Blurred PN Flag
Deputy President of PAS, Mohd Amar Abdullah, dismissed the allegations outright, labeling the claims of internal issues between PAS and Bersatu as “baseless.” The controversy arose when images showed Mohd Amar campaigning in Sungai Bakap, with the PN flag intentionally blurred in the background.
The relationship between the two parties is believed to have further strained after the recent Kuala Kubu Bharu by-election, where Bersatu failed to capture a state assembly seat from the opposition. There are claims that blurring the images were done to focus on the speakers.
