The PAS and Muhyiddin has taken the backseat in the Parliament with the nomination of PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin as the federal Opposition leader and Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has taken the deputy PN parliamentary leader while TS Muhyiddin is the leader.
By right, Muhyiddin should be the opposition leader as he is the leader of the PN. It has been the tradition that the party or coalition that is in opposition elects its leader as the opposition leader.
By refusing to take the post, and Hadi Awang not claiming it too, it is possible they are not able to face the new Prime Minister DS Anwar Ibrahim. Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan will be the chief whip of the opposition.
