A widening rift between PAS and Bersatu has surfaced following disagreements over the appointment of a new Perikatan Nasional chairman. PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden criticised remarks by a Bersatu leader calling for component parties to decide internally before any appointment is finalised, arguing that mutual respect has been lacking.
