PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang skipped Muhyiddin Yassin’s grand opposition pow-wow because, well, he had prior plans. His deputy, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, said Hadi was at another programme – presumably more exciting than political chit-chat. Even PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi claimed he wasn’t told about the meeting, while Bersatu’s Tun Faisal calmly assured everyone that PAS’ absence was “understandable”. After all, who wants to sit through another “let’s unite” discussion when you just hosted a mega event with Mahathir in Alor Setar? For now, PAS is busy – but don’t worry, they’ll read the meeting minutes later.
