Former PAS Central Committee member Mohd Zuhdi Marsuki has questioned the legitimacy of Article 15A in the party’s constitution, claiming it was amended in a “sneak attack” during the 70th PAS Muktamar in Temerloh, Pahang, in September 2024.

He argued the draft was not properly reviewed by the Majlis Syura Ulama, as is customary, and warned of major loopholes in its enforcement.
The clause allows the secretary-general to terminate membership of elected representatives who defy party orders, with decisions deemed final. The issue has resurfaced amid disputes over the dismissal of three Perlis assemblymen, sparking internal debate within PAS.
