KUALA LUMPUR – PAS has signalled it may go its own way in the 16th General Election (GE16) if Bersatu fails to resolve its internal issues. PAS Information Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said the Islamist party cannot allow Bersatu’s prolonged disputes to disrupt coalition preparations.
PAS to go solo?
The Pasir Mas MP stressed that PAS takes seriously the delays in resolving Bersatu’s leadership feud, warning it could affect Perikatan Nasional’s readiness. He added that PAS cannot carry a partner mired in endless strife. The remarks highlight growing unease within PN as Bersatu struggles with factional battles between its president and deputy.
