PAS has declared its readiness to meet U.S. President Donald Trump during his visit to Malaysia for the 47th ASEAN Summit, but will lead mass protests if denied.
PAS Vows Mass Protest
Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan condemned Trump’s role in enabling Israel’s actions in Gaza, calling his invitation “deeply regrettable.” He stressed that Malaysians, especially those who sympathize with Palestine, must voice their opposition.
If Trump refuses to engage, PAS will mobilize a multi-ethnic rally in Kuala Lumpur. Takiyuddin questioned the moral integrity of hosting Trump while Malaysia chairs ASEAN, urging leaders to uphold humanitarian values over diplomatic convenience.
