PAS, one of the leading opposition parties in Malaysia is under scrutiny from netizens after they received 10 new SUVs for Terengganu officials. Netizens feel that the political party should focus on fixing the problems within their states rather than purchasing flashy cars for themselves.

An X user claims that the political party tends to purchase these flashy items for their VIPs. However, their states are commonly known to have muddy tap water and is the center of jokes among those who stay in the Klang Valley, Penang and Johor.
Another user states that the party’s justification in saving maintenance costs are overlooked at the fact that purchasing a new car costs significantly more. Regardless, many feel that they could’ve spent the money for the betterment of their districts.
