Amanah vice president Mahfuz Omar criticised PAS, claiming the party has been reduced to a mere accessory to Bersatu after the latter named its president, Muhyiddin Yassin, as the 11th prime minister candidate without consulting coalition partners.
Mahfuz: PAS Reduced to “Accessory” in Bersatu’s PM Bid
Mahfuz said the move exposed Bersatu’s arrogance, disregard for consensus, and self-serving politics prioritising one individual over national stability. He added PAS, once boasting as a kingmaker, has been sidelined and humiliated.
Mahfuz argued the decision reveals internal fractures within Perikatan Nasional, questioning how the public can trust a coalition that mistreats its own partners while claiming to represent stability and good governance.
