A recent viral video came out after a student studying overseas complained about others who wanted to go partying after a meetup. She felt excluded and netizens are upset about that. However, after some digging, they found that her mother is apparently a prominent PAS member.

Netizens state that during the Nik Aziz days, most PAS members were humble and did not use these expensive goods openly. However, the tables have turned in recent years. The bag apparently cost around RM15,000. This is if it is an authentic piece of course, it is still unclear whether she spent the exact amount on the bag.
Furthermore, many feel that the JPA scholarship issue is not an entirely large issue as they tend to give scholarships to those with good grades. Netizens claim that as long as the student gets good grades, they are entitled to the scholarship regardless of their financial background.
