PAS has urged UMNO to clarify its stance on DAP’s alleged involvement in the illegal durian farm issue in Raub, Pahang, accusing DAP of challenging the state government and disrespecting the Sultan. PAS Vice-President Datuk Idris Ahmad criticized UMNO’s silence, questioning why no official condemnation has been issued despite UMNO’s historically aggressive stance against DAP since 1946. Speaking at a Perikatan Nasional press conference in Tapah, Idris suggested UMNO’s reliance on DAP’s six seats and PKR’s two to form Pahang’s government with Barisan Nasional’s 17 seats explains its reluctance to act, implying UMNO’s dependence weakens its resolve.
