Malaysians feel that pedestrians are considered as the “lowest caste” of the country due to the local councils allegedly not bothering about them. For the most part, Malaysians are expected to purchase a car whether they can afford it or not. The public infrastructure for people to get around is barely adequate.
Pedestrian lights not efficient enough
X users are calling out the planners of the country citing that they simply want Malaysians to buy cars and promote fossil fuel usage. Furthermore, they are rather upset at how much is spent on public transportation, only for the operators to leave them barely maintained and underused due to it being inconvenient.
Others are complaining about the traffic lights between Starhill/Fahrenheit and Pavillion Bukit Bintang being inefficient as well. Many are forced to jaywalk due to this inefficiency issue, and it is a problem that the current government will have to solve.
