Perhilitan Perak caught a tiger in Kampung Ulu Kuang, Chemor, following a report about one of the endangered species attack in the village. The tiger, named Yop Kuang, looks healthy and is believed to be part of a tiger population in the Bukit Kinta Forest Reserve, the department says on its social media network.

Perhilitan Perak on the tiger
The animal, aged about six years old and weighing 156 kg, walked into a trap set up by Perhilitan yesterday. According to the department it has been attacking animals bred by the villagers and has also been seen roaming in the area, probably in search of food.
