Perlis’ New Rule is for Pasar Malams to Halt Operations During Maghrib Prayers

1 min read

A recent move by the state of Perlis has netizens debating with each other on the importance of this new rule. Apparently, there are a significant number of users who disagree with this idea as to them, commerce needs to continuously go on in order to sustain itself.

Perlis’ new rule is for Pasar Malams to halt operations during Maghrib prayers

Netizens state that someone’s own prayer lists should be exclusive to them and only them. Whether they’re praying or skipping prayers, it should be entirely up to these individuals. An X user joked that the next requirement is for people to report themselves in the mosque during each prayer time.

Some agree with this idea citing that Kelantan has apparently implemented this. But others state that prayers are the individual’s right if they would want to pray or not.
