KUALA LUMPUR – Sixteen PKR branch chiefs have called for the suspension of Rafizi Ramli and eight other members after their push for a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) into judicial appointments. In a joint statement, they accused the nine of violating party discipline, especially while PKR president Anwar Ibrahim was abroad. They argued the move damaged party unity and created openings for opposition attacks. The branch chiefs urged party secretary-general Fuziah Salleh to suspend them immediately and launch a disciplinary probe to uphold party dignity and prevent further internal discord, emphasising that policy concerns should be raised internally.
