Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is grappling with internal turmoil as Nurul Izzah, daughter of Datuk Seri Wan Azizah and Anwar Ibrahim, is positioned to become the party’s next deputy president, potentially paving the way for her to be its third president. PKR has only had two presidents—Wan Azizah and Anwar, her spouse—since its formation. A party insider, echoing concerns raised by Rafizi Ramli, warned, “If she wins, nepotism and cronyism will haunt us forever.” As PKR’s upcoming polls loom, the party faces scrutiny over dynastic politics, threatening its reformist legacy. Not so bright for a party that is claiming it is a reformist party!
