KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 — A 34-year-old man was arrested following a hit-and-run incident on the Setiawangsa-Pantai Highway (SPE) yesterday. He allegedly hit a motorcyclist, causing severe injuries to the victim’s head, face, and abdomen, before fleeing the scene. Shortly after, the man’s Mercedes-Benz GLE450 AMG Coupe caught fire near the Wangsa Maju Toll Plaza, leaving the vehicle completely destroyed. Police are investigating under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. A viral video captured the fiery aftermath.
