PLUS Highway: 8 hours From Penang to KL Unacceptable

1 min read

Eight hours were spent on North-South Plus Highway (from Penang to Kuala Lumpur) where roadworks signs were in place when hardly any roadworks were seen to be taking place by a netizen who complained about the unacceptable situation.

PLUS is one of Malaysia’s biggest highway managerial corporations. They have been charging for toll booths on the North-South expressway since its inception in 1982. Many would perceive the North-South expressway to be a good addition to our country, and yes it is however, it does come with a number of drawbacks coupled with it.

Questions on PLUS Highway

On a Facebook post by a netizen, where the highway is riddled with construction work signs while there is little to no work to be seen. This is bad, especially due to the jams that it causes as drivers would then have to merge lanes. The netizen then claimed to have driven for 8 hours from Kuala Lumpur to Penang.

Others are suggesting Anthony Loke, our Minister of Transport to take a drive there and observe it for himself. Complaints of toll booths charging the same amount of money to customers, yet the service is still awful.
