Perikatan Nasional (PN) is open to collaborating with moderate parties to form the next federal government, according to Bersatu Supreme Council member Saifuddin Abdullah. In an FMT interview, Saifuddin expressed confidence in retaining PN’s 74 parliamentary seats but acknowledged the need for allies to secure a 112-seat majority. He highlighted Bersatu’s moderate ideology, emphasizing inclusivity and democracy, and noted growing non-Malay support in Johor and Pahang. Fellow council member Wan Fayhsal stressed that alliances must align with PN’s constitutional principles. This strategy aims to broaden PN’s appeal in mixed constituencies ahead of the 16th general election.
