SEREMBAN: Police have arrested a 62-year-old man suspected of involvement in an explosion caused by an improvised explosive device in Desa Palma, Nilai, on Dec 22. Negri Sembilan police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the suspect, identified as Yeoh Hock Sun or Ayang, was arrested in Mantin on Saturday evening.

He was sent to hospital due to injuries. Investigators believe the suspect possessed technical knowledge in making explosives. A search of his rented house uncovered devices and equipment linked to explosive-making. Police also found 31 additional IEDs, which were safely destroyed. Investigations are ongoing.
