Police have reclassified the tragic deaths of an elderly couple and their granddaughter in a Muar house fire as murder, under Section 302 of the Penal Code. The decision follows the discovery of criminal evidence during post-mortems. Authorities are now seeking Azman Mohamed Nor, 48, the son of the deceased couple, believed to be the main suspect.

The case also falls under Sections 436 and 326 for arson and grievous harm. The fire, which occurred at 1:30 am, claimed three lives, while a fourth victim, 14-year-old Norazima Mohd Radhi, is recovering at Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital.
