NEW: Police Impersonators Attempt to Stop Vehicle on PLUS Highway

Police have confirmed that three men in a vehicle with a blue beacon light were impersonators. Three men attempting to stop a vehicle on Kilometer 41.5 of the PLUS were not members of the uniformed unit. The Deputy Chief of Police for Kulai District, Superintendent Yusof Othman, says the incident took place near the Sedenak Toll Plaza in Kulai.

From Singapore to Genting

A police report was filed after a viral video surfaced on Facebook at 1:52 p.m yesterday. The victim, who was traveling from Singapore to Genting Highlands on the PLUS highway heading north, was chased by three men wearing face masks and using a blue beacon light resembling a police team.

Impersonators Sought

The victim has yet to report to the police station, and authorities are trying to identify the vehicle owner involved in the incident. The case is being investigated under Section 170 of the Penal Code. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Investigating Officer Inspector Mohammad Azri at 010-7647789.
