The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has reassured the public that Kuala Lumpur remains safe despite two fatal shooting incidents within four days. On 13 June, one man was killed and two injured in a Brickfields restaurant, followed by the killing of two men at a Cheras mall on 17 June.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain clarified that both were targeted attacks arising from personal disputes, not random acts of violence. PDRM has since stepped up patrols and operations across the capital. Razarudin urged the public to remain calm and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
