Porsche Driver Pleads Not Guilty to DUI Crash Killing Couple in Pahang

A 28-year-old Porsche Cayenne driver, Shaun Lau, pleaded not guilty in the Temerloh Magistrate’s Court on 16 February to charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing the deaths of a married couple in Pahang. 

Porsche Driver Pleading Not Guilty

The tragic collision occurred on 14 February when Lau’s vehicle lost control and crashed into the victims’ Proton Prevé, which caught fire, leaving the couple charred inside. Police confirmed Lau was intoxicated at the time. 

He was released on RM10,000 bail. If convicted under Section 44(1)(b) of the Road Transport Act 1987, he faces 10–15 years in prison and fines up to RM100,000.
