Tebing Tinggi assemblyperson Abdul Aziz Bari criticized PAS for acting as if they have the authority to decide who goes to heaven or hell, displaying a “holier than thou” attitude. He reminded PAS that Islamic teachings, including concepts of heaven and hell, apply to everyone, including PAS leaders.
Judges ‘un-Islamic’?
Aziz pointed out the hypocrisy of buying expensive cars like Mercedes instead of more affordable options like Camry, especially when ordinary citizens lack basic facilities like clean water. He also highlighted alleged rights suppression of aborigines in Kelantan. Aziz’s comments were in response to Sanusi’s remarks on the Alor Setar High Court decision and his stance on gambling shops.
