A recent drama unfolded when PPR residents in Hiliran Kuala Terengganu were complaining about their lifts no longer working. However, some are stating that the residents have allegedly not been paying their RM174 monthly maintenance fees. The cumulative amount among the three blocks amounts to RM 1.2 million.

Now, the residents are facing problems accessing the floors of the 17 story flat. However, netizens state that when the government is strict on payments, there are complaints saying that the leaders are “cruel.” Furthermore, others state that if the lifts were operational, it could cause severe risks as mechanical failures may occur.
Others state that if this was a private condominium or apartment, those who aren’t paying their maintenance fees will definitely get their access cards revoked. Furthermore, netizens state that paying RM174 a month should not be an issue for the PPR residents. Many state that those living in PPRs tend to not dispose of their trash properly as well.
