Ever since the pandemic started, the government had made initiatives for the rakyat to try their best on covering their expenditures. This is due to the virus affecting the economy in a negative way. At the time, there were a number of jobs lost and Malaysians were barely surviving.
PM Anwar’s concerns on depleting KWSP savings
Apparently, some netizens jabbed at the older Prime Ministers, namely Muhyiddin Yassin and Ismail Sabri for not showing concerns on this. They claimed that they have helped Malaysians by allowing them to withdraw money from their own accounts, netizens found that funny.
Others said that having a cushy KWSP account is important for everyone when they grow old. This is the whole point of KWSP, which is for Malaysians to have a comfortable future when they’re in their old age.
Some were criticising TikTok users who complained that Anwar Ibrahim is no longer allowing such withdrawals to be made and claimed that he does not understand the struggle of Malaysians. However, there were plenty who wasted their KWSP savings by buying new iPhones, Gucci handbags and new furniture.
