The private hospital that faced backlash online has now revealed that the patient’s supposed “husband” visited infrequently and could not be reached regarding the ‘frozen’ baby’s burial. Despite efforts to involve the police, the patient pleaded against it, insisting her husband would manage the arrangements. She failed to contact her family because she refused to share their details. The hospital explained the situation on Facebook, stating the mother had no antenatal check-ups and only monitored her pregnancy through an app. After the baby passed away, the father left, and the mother was unable to settle the RM2,480 bill. The hospital claimed they provided free counseling, food, and support while waiting for the family to arrange the burial.
