The discussion that public transportation companies are losing money in 2023 and state that they’re keeping their fares low in order to ensure the well being of commuters. Netizens on X state that these transportation systems are not meant to make money, but rather help the people.

Popular X user, @slainthayer states that if they were to turn a profit, prices will drastically increase. These transportation methods are built in order to serve the people as other alternatives are considered to be significantly more expensive and less sustainable. 

Others find it ironic that an abundance of highway projects are commencing, yet the discussions of adding more busses and train lines are not really a subject of conversation.
