Malaysia’s federal government has reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing talks on matters arising from the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) with the state governments of Sabah and Sarawak, ensuring the negotiations align with the Federal Constitution and legal processes.

Minister Datuk Mustapha Sakmud told Parliament that recent negotiation sessions were held involving multiple ministries and state representatives, with efforts focused on resolving outstanding issues within established constitutional and legal frameworks.
He added that working committees in areas like health and education have been established to examine specific concerns raised by Sabah and Sarawak, while the federal secretariat continues to support structured talks.
