PETALING JAYA — The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is working with police and social media platforms to identify the person behind posts insulting the Quran. The suspect allegedly uploaded images of the holy book being stepped on and defaced with obscene drawings, sparking outrage among Malay DAP leaders who condemned the act as a grave insult and threat to national harmony.

The Facebook account “Dickie Borneo” has since been locked, with the original post deleted. MCMC confirmed several other offensive posts were preserved as evidence. Investigations continue, with authorities pledging firm action against the perpetrator.
