PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar has dismissed calls for a public debate with deputy president Rafizi Ramli, saying her priority is to engage with delegates through grassroots outreach rather than public politicking.

Rafizi, while on his campaign tour, had proposed a debate to “cool the temperature” and offer party members clearer insight ahead of internal polls. He argued that public discourse could reinforce party unity and bolster support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s second term.
Nurul Izzah responded that her focus remains on unity-driven initiatives like her Wanita Menduniaprogramme and youth engagements, not internal theatrics.
