Former PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli has urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate Datuk Seri Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, former political secretary to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, over alleged links to a coal exploration licence in Sabah. Rafizi said viral information suggested Farhash’s company received approval for a 70,000-hectare coal prospecting licence in Sandakan just three months after registration. He stressed that the available details were sufficient to warrant an investigation to ensure transparency and avoid negative perceptions of the government. “Otherwise, anti-corruption efforts will remain ineffective and further damage Malaysia’s Corruption Perception Index,” Rafizi warned.
