Urimai chairman P Ramasamy has dismissed concerns over divisions within the newly formed loose opposition coalition, saying differences in “specifics and strategy” will strengthen rather than weaken the bloc. He said only mutually agreed issues will be pursued collectively, while individual parties remain free to pursue their own agendas. This flexibility, he argued, makes the coalition adaptive and broad-based, enabling it to mobilise diverse forces against the government. Ramasamy stressed that such coalitions are common worldwide and can effectively amplify public grievances, even if some member parties appear “minuscule” on their own.
