KUALA LUMPUR – Former MCA vice-president Ti Lian Ker said PAS leaders appear “more rational and composed” than Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Akmal Saleh. Ti criticised Akmal for being unrelenting in his confrontational approach, particularly in the recent protest over an inverted Jalur Gemilang in Kepala Batas. He argued that, compared to PAS contemporaries, Akmal’s actions were worse in stoking tensions. Ti said PAS leaders showed greater restraint in their words and conduct, while Akmal’s style risked undermining political stability. He urged politicians to act responsibly and avoid unnecessary provocations that could inflame racial or political sentiments.
