Great news for the national women’s recurve team after they secured a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics when they clinched silver at the Archery In Paris final Olympic qualifier in Antalya, Turkey, on Friday. They only lost in the final by a 4-5 margin to China’s Yang Xiaolei, Li Jiaman and An Qixuan. The trio of Ariana Nur Dania Zairi, Nurul Azreena Fazil and Syaqiera Mashayikh qualified on merit by advancing to the final of the qualifier.
Recurve team success
In the quarter finals, they beat Colombia’s Ana Maria Rendon, Valentina Acosta Giraldo and Maira Sepuldiva 6-0. In the semi-finals they won against Great Britain’s Megan Havers, Bryony Pitman and Penny Healey by a 5-3 margin.
