To help alleviate their financial burden, the B40 income group will receive additional cash assistance through the Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) programme, says Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said this in a special announcement stating that each household receiving BKM assistance would receive RM100, while single individuals would receive RM50.
The move will benefit over 8.6 million people, including four million households, 1.2 million senior citizens, and 3.4 million single individuals. The PM also stated that the payment would be made in four instalments beginning June 27.
