PETALING JAYA: The RM18bil allocation for the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA 2.0) under Budget 2026 will enhance motivation and productivity among Malaysia’s 1.6 million civil servants, said Cuepacs. President Datuk Adnan Mat said the move reflects the government’s commitment to a fairer, more sustainable pay structure.

He also welcomed the RM2.2bil for upgrading civil servant quarters and housing loans, including a 120% loan guarantee for contract staff and RM500mil in first-home financing via Bank Simpanan Nasional. The Special Financial Aid of RM500 for civil servants and RM250 for pensioners is expected to ease living costs. Cuepacs also lauded continued Cabinet salary cuts as an example of integrity.
