The government will implement the RON95 targeted fuel subsidy scheme using multiple payment options instead of relying solely on physical MyKad, said Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali. He assured the public that accessing subsidised petrol will be simple and efficient through apps provided by oil companies such as Petronas’ Setel and Shell App, as well as via indoor and outdoor payment terminals at petrol stations.

“While eligibility will still be tied to the MyKad, purchases will not depend on one method,” he explained. Speaking at the Sabah Students Convention, Armizan added that the government has prepared extensively to ensure smooth implementation without burdening the public, with details to be announced soon.
