Sarawak PAS is targeting four seats in the 13th Sarawak state election, three of which have been identified, state PAS commissioner Mohammad Arifiriazul Paijo said on Saturday (Oct 24).
The three seats named are Beting Maro, Samariang and Sebuyau, while a fourth seat in the northern region of the state is still under consideration, Bernama reported.
Fourth Seat in Bintulu or Sibuti Area
Mohammad Arifiriazul said the fourth seat could be in an area under the Bintulu or Sibuti parliamentary constituency. The final decision, he said, would be subject to approval by the party’s top leadership.
He said the choice of seats took into account preparations by the party machinery, which had begun earlier, and PAS’s experience of contesting in Sarawak since 2001.
