KUALA LUMPUR, April 3, 2025 – The Malaysian government has signed an agreement with UK-based Ocean Infinity to resume the search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, missing since March 8, 2014. Transport Minister Anthony Loke confirmed the deal, inked last week, operates on a “no find, no fee” basis, with a US$70 million payout if the wreckage is found. However, the operation is paused due to unfavorable weather and will restart by year-end. Ocean Infinity previously searched 112,000 square kilometers of the Indian Ocean in 2018 without success. The flight vanished with 239 people aboard, en route to Beijing.
