KUALA LUMPUR: The second Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) has reached 64.66% completion, according to Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin. Payments for the construction, totaling RM7.15 billion, are based on overall project progress rather than individual ship milestones, as recommended by the MACC and JKSTUPKK.

The third, fourth, and fifth LCS ships are at 56.48%, 51.10%, and 42.33% completion, respectively. Mohamed Khaled assured that all five ships would be delivered to the navy as planned, beginning in August 2026. This update was given in response to an inquiry from Datuk Seri Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz in Parliament.
