Malaysians are not very keen with the ultra modernisation of their culture. For the most part, they would see it as destroying their heritage. Recently, local a local designer is releasing Baju Melayu that are transparent and slightly more feminine. But a lot of users are vehemently against it.
See through Baju Melayu for Hari Raya?
X users state that they would only support this temporarily simply due to the heat in Malaysia. Some users felt that the designer is an attention seeker and is merely doing this for the hype of their products. However, we are not sure what the motive was when the design was created.
Netizens state that young guys with nice bodies would probably wear this. They can’t imagine any elderly men or fathers wearing this attire. Users claim that if a father wears this, it might traumatise his children.
