Selangor continues its WINNING streak with Chilean forward now shining

Selangor continued their winning streak in the Super League by defeating Perak 2-1 at the Petaling Jaya Stadium on June 23. Chilean forward Ronnie Fernandez shone with two goals, scoring first in the 23rd minute after capitalizing on a rebound from Perak goalkeeper Ramadhan Abd Hamid.

He added a second goal in the 38th minute via a penalty. Selangor’s hopes of a clean sheet were dashed when Ghanaian midfielder Alex Agyarkwa was sent off in the 63rd minute for a stamp, following a VAR review. Perak’s substitute winger Nur Azfar Zikri Azhar reduced the deficit in the 79th minute.
