KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7— Malaysian police have arrested seven men for allegedly posting seditious, threatening, or insulting content against national leaders on social media. The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) said the arrests followed investigations into TikTok and Facebook posts made between September 17 and October 5.

Bukit Aman CID director M. Kumar said the suspects are being probed under the Sedition Act 1948, Penal Code Sections 504 and 505(b), and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. One suspect has 19 prior drug offences, while another was previously investigated under the Peaceful Assembly Act.
All seven were remanded up to three days as police warned the public against online posts that incite unrest.
