KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 — Shalini Periasamy, previously fined RM100 for cyberbullying the late Rajeswari Appahu (Esha), has been detained for cyberbullying Hema Subramaniam. Cheras police chief ACP Aidil Bolhassan confirmed her Nov 17 arrest, but was later released on police bail. Hema lodged a report on Sept 30, accusing Shalini and the Dulal Brothers of issuing threats to injure, rape, and murder her and her husband. She is being investigated under Sections 506 and 509 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and insulting modesty. Public outrage persists over her earlier lenient penalty under the Minor Offences Act.
