Shenzhen Man’s Blood Turns Green After Years of Alcohol Abuse

A 36-year-old man from Shenzhen, China, named Chen, was shocked to discover his blood had turned green after years of daily alcohol consumption. He sought medical help when his skin and eyes turned yellow, his energy levels plummeted, and he experienced frequent vomiting and shortness of breath.

At the hospital, he was diagnosed with jaundice caused by acute hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, diabetic ketoacidosis, and hyperlipidemia. His blood turned milky green due to severe liver damage and high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. After undergoing double plasma filtration, Chen vowed never to drink again after witnessing the yellow grease in the filtration machine.
