A Malaysian with a disability claims that SIA let him down by failing to include his custom-made wheelchair on his flight to Dubai, and he criticises the airline’s response to the calamitous error.
Danny Gnaniah claims he arrived in Dubai on the evening of June 10 for work and to establish his company. He didn’t get his wheelchair until June 11, which cost him a full day of work and nearly S$7,000.
He was born with a spinal cord injury and has been disabled his entire life. The lightweight titanium wheelchair made to his body measurements is critical to his mobility because it allows him to move around easily, including in and out of cars.
