1 min read

A Singaporean man, Lim Chun Yong, who suffered severe brain damage in a 2018 car accident in Malaysia, has been awarded S$4.75 million (RM15.73 million) by the Singapore High Court. The accident left Lim requiring full-time care, initially provided by his wife but now in a nursing home due to his behavioral needs. Judicial Commissioner Alex Wong ruled all three drivers involved in the crash jointly liable, with the semi-trailer driver bearing 50% of the blame. The compensation covers Lim’s nursing care, lost future earnings, and medical costs, with the defendants indicating plans to appeal the decision.
